The Women on the 6th Floor

Paris, early 1960s: the time of cocktails, suits and expensive Chevrolets. Wealthy Jean-Louis Joubert is a good but boring man. Until he and his wife hire the beautiful Spanish girl María as a maid. María takes him to the sixth floor of his bourgeois home, where she lives with other Spanish workers. The spirited women, but especially the very attractive María, teach Mr Joubert to enjoy life for the first time. This to the dismay of Mrs Joubert and her distinguished friends... LES FEMMES DU 6EME ETAGE is a cheerful and romantic film by Albert Dupontel starring, among others, Fabrice Luchini (POTICHE by François Ozon), Carmen Maura (VOLVER by Pedro Almódovar), Sandrine Kiberlain (9 MONTHS STRETCH, Albert Dupontel) and Lola Dueñas (YO, TAMBIÉN, Alfonso Cuarón). The film was a great success in France and Belgium.
