In a country and time indeterminate, there exists a forbidden zone, closed off and guarded by the military. It is said to house a chamber that fulfills men's secret desires, and that it was created by a falling meteorite long ago. The authorities immediately isolated the site, but some people risk their lives to defy the ban. Their guides are called "stalkers", outcasts who alone know the pitfalls of the ever-changing zone...
